Kraljica i njezini nasljednici radili kolač, sve je oduševio princ George

Fotografija kraljice Elizabete II. i njezinih nasljednika, odnosno prve trojice u redu za krunu, oduševila je obožavatelje britanske kraljevske obitelji, a posebne simpatije osvojio je princ George koji je pokazao svoje kulinarske vještine i pritom se nije zaprljao.

Šestogodišnji princ George preuzeo je kuhaču kada su se četiri generacije kraljevske obitelji okupile kako bi zajedno pripremili tradicionalni božićni puding, a sve je "uhvaćeno" u nizu simpatičnih fotografija. Pod nadzorom svoje prabake – kraljice Elizabete II. i uz malo pomoći djeda, princa Charlesa i oca, princa Williama, omiljeni George pomiješao je sušeno voće bez ikakvih problema. Mladi princ je čak uspio sve to odraditi bez pregače i bez mrlje na bijeloj košulji.

Kraljica i tri buduća kralja složili su pudinge prošlog tjedna u veličanstvenoj Music Room, jednoj od 19 državnih soba u Buckinghamskoj palači. Male slastičarske pripreme četvorka je imala prije nego je princ Philip u petak prevezen u bolnicu „Kralj Edward VII”.

Snimka kraljevske obitelji zajedno je odmak od prijašnjih božićnih običaja jer daje uvid u njihov obiteljski život. Iza njih je božićno drvce sa zanimljivim dekoracijama kojima je odana počast i kraljičin voljenim psima – korgijima. Kraljica je blistala u nježno plavoj haljini dizajnerice Angele Kelly na kojoj je nosila broš od dijamanata i safira.

Sjena iznad Sandringhama: Bez tradicionalnog fotografiranja, obitelj se nada da će se princ Philip vratiti kući do Božića

Božićni dani nisu najbolje počeli za kraljicu nakon što je njezin suprug, vojvoda od Edinburgha završio u bolnici pa je i ona odustala od nekih tradicija. Naime, po povratku iz Buckinghamske palače u Sandringham u Norfolku, kraljica nije posjetila svoje konje i ljude koji brinu o njima, što je inače uvijek radila, a izostao je i tradicionalan lov na fazane, kojem je princ Philip stalno prisustvovao. Doduše, posljednjih godina bi samo promatrao u toplini Land Rovera. Tako je početak ovogodišnjih božićnih i novogodišnjih slavlja ostao u sjeni zbog brige za zdravlje princa Philipa koji je u petak ujutro helikopterom prebačen u bolnicu u Londonu.

Iz palače je javljeno kako se radi o promatranju i kontroli postojećeg zdravstvenog problema, a sve na preporuku njegovog liječnika. 98-godišnji princ je sam ušetao u bolnicu te se očekuje kako će u bolnici ostati nekoliko dana: Mnogi misle kako će biti otpušten iz bolnice na vrijeme da se na Badnjak pridruži tradicionalnoj proslavi kraljevske obitelji u Sandringhamu kada razmjene darove za vrijeme čajanke. Na Božić cijela obitelj odlazi na misu u Crkvu svete Marije Magdalene .

Princ Philip se od kraljevskih dužnosti umirovio 2017. godine i od tada većinu vremena provodi u kući Wood Farm, na imanju Sandringham.
