Mračni trailer koji traje skoro dvije minute prikazuje Gotham City, koji je kao i uvijek, pun zločina i problema, a u kojem Batman i njegov prijatelj policijski narednik James Gordon (Jeffrey Wright) pokušavaju zaštititi nemoćne i dobre.

Los Angeles, CA - Colin Farrell is completely unrecognizable as The Penguin while Robert Pattinson sports a smokey-eyed look as the Caped Crusader in first trailer for The Batman. Irish hunk Farrell is buried under layers of prosthetics for the role of Oswald Cobblepot who becomes The Penguin villain in director Matt Reeves' version of the DC Comics tale of Gotham City's superhero. Farrell is seen briefly in the clip, which was first shown over the weekend at DC FanDome virtual convention. Fans also got to see Twilight star Pattinson as Bruce Wayne but also as Batman, who reveals a raccoon look with make up around his eyes once he takes off his Batman mask. The clip opened with a villain - believed to be Paul Dano as The Riddler - duct taping someone's head before leaving the body for the cops, lead by Jeffrey Wright's commissioner James Gordon, to find. Catwoman, played by Zoe Kravtiz, is also introduced in the trailer as she first rappels down to the crime scene to crack a safe and is then seen in a mask with slight feline ears. The latest movie to take on the Batman legend appears dark and gritty from the trailer - but fans will still have to wait a year to see the finished movie.
